While your experience as someone facing cancer – your pain, emotions, questions, and concerns are unique to you – you are not alone. CantBelieveIHaveCancer.org is here to be a support and resource for you.

CantBelieveIHaveCancer.org is a place where you can find support, with resources for meeting the needs of your spirit in ways that are practical, useful and encouraging. You may find it helpful to read through the “Big Issues” that are found on this site: Spiritual Issues, Painful Feelings, Chronic Pain, Grief & Loss, and Planning Ahead. Each section has articles that may help in affirming your feelings and questions.

There may be times when you wonder about the meaning of your cancer – or if it has any meaning at all – what will come next, and what your future holds. Beliefs and values that you have held dearly may be challenged as you try to find a sense of meaning or hope or comfort. You can discuss these issues with a professional health care chaplain on our Chat with a Chaplain page. You may also Request a Prayer.

If you haven’t previously thought about what your beliefs and values are, the Spiritual Self Assessment and the checklist to Determine Your Spiritual Distress can be guides to help put words to describe your beliefs, values, and emotions. You may then want to explore Spiritual Exercises & Resources to nurture the sense of happiness, support, and/or relaxation into your life.
